Niche Marketing Success: The huge problem with autoblogging!

So, you’ve decided that you want to make money by starting a WordPress Blog and using Google Adsense and ClickBank to monetize it? You’ve selected a niche and setup your domain name and web hosting. Now you need content!

There are plenty of Clickbank products available that promise to put your Niche Marketing Blog in automatic mode and start bringing you traffic from content automatically gleaned from various sources such as article sites, Yahoo answers, YouTube, Wikipedia etc. using certain keywords to select suitable material.

There are a couple of major flaws with this idyllic setup that you will overlook if you rush to quickly into this abyss:

  1. If you are honest or your autoblogging system is ethical, you will reprint the content verbatim and give due credit to the author. This means that not only will you link back to the original content potentially losing your visitor but you will also not rank with Google and other search engines since your content is not unique and not considered authoritative.
  2. To overcome the previous limitation, many packages use an article-spinner that will ‘spin’ the article using various means to trick the search engines into believing that you have original content not found elsewhere. This is generally done either by inserting codes but keeping the text essentially the same or by using synonyms to swap out certain words. Forgetting the fact that you are plagiarising others work, the main flaw here is that 9 times out of 10, the resulting article or content is gibberish.
  3. Due to the fact that your autoblog is working automatically, there is nobody to monitor whether the content is a) truly suitable and on topic, or b) in any way legible or well-written.
  4. We should also not forget the fact that there are hundreds if not thousands of others who have purchased the same autoblogging and article-spinning software that you did and are cranking out the same gibberish that you are. So not only is your content not good, it is still probably not unique!

The fact is that your final goal is not simply to rank well in the search engines. You need to have your readers either click on Google Adsense links or go to a Clickbank sales page and actually purchase a product. This will usually only happen if they stay on your site for a while, read some of your content and find it relevant both to your niche and  their situation.

Your chances of making any significant money with your WordPress blog through either Clickbank or Google Adsense are not high if you are using the ‘normal’ autoblogging products. If you are beginning to realise that these autoblogs are perhaps not the goldmine that their gurus would have you believe, then maybe you are ready for  a saner approach to the problem. We are currently in the process of writing a step-by-step program that will allow you to set up and maintain a WordPress blog or blogs in any niche of your choice and populate it with relevant, readable, meaningful content in line with either your Google Adsense ads or your Clickbank product.
