There are tons of people on the Internet struggling to make money online with autoblogging using WordPress, Clickbank and Google Adsense. The good news: It IS possible! The bad news: Most people will fail. Here are ten steps to certain success with autoblogs.
- Choose a profitable market niche: Don’t take a shortcut with choosing your niche market. Much of your success will depend on choosing a niche with a lot of traffic but a minimum of competition. You can use Google’s own keyword tool or use a commercial product like Keyword Winner to ensure your success.
- Get a domain name: We have written elsewhere about how to go about getting your own domain name(s). Some will recommend that you install each autoblog on its own domain, but to start out, you want to make money rather than spend it, so we suggest that you purchase a single, short, generic-sounding domain name and put each autoblog on a separate subdomain.
- Set up your first blog: There are many blogging platforms out there that you could use. However, since WordPress is the most popular and best supported, this is the system of choice. You can get a FREE WordPress account at WordPress.com but there will be some limitations on what you can do. We recommend using a domain hosting account that specializes in WordPress accounts like HostGator or similar.
- Pick one or more Clickbank affiliate offers closely related to your Niche: Some autobloggers will rely principally on Google Adsense to monetize their site. This is very limiting. Instead, we recommend that you use Clickbank Marketplace to find one or more affiliate offers that tie in with your Market Niche. You will discover in step six below how to automatically add smartlinks to to your posts and pages to increase your chances of making money.
- Generate Unique content using Profit Jackpot or WP-Simplicity: It is often said in the world of WordPress blogs and Google SEO rankings that content is king. Not just any old content but truly unique content. If you simply import articles or videos from other sites or blogs you will not likely rank highly with the search engines, especially Google. Using either Profit Jackpot or WP-Simplicity will allow you to source material that in the case of Profit Jackpot is converted to become unique or that you can put through an article spinner like Article Demon.
- Add SEO Smart Links: Even though you can and should place Clickbank affiliate ads for relevant products in your post, you can increase your chances of making sales by using a pliug-in like SEO Smart Links to turn keywords into hotlinks using your ClickBank ID. This is one of the many critical plug-ins included with WP-Simplicity.
- Maximize Google Adsense: Using Adsense properly can be somewhat of a challenge and remembering to put the correct code in your post or page can be troublesome. Once again, a handy plug-in called Easy Adsense can do this all for you. Once again, WP-Simplicity includes this plug-in within its arsenal.
- Build Social Back Links: Just having good unique content is not sufficient, in most cases, to push your site or posts to the top of the search engine organic listings. You also need to create some backlinks. Social Monkee is a good place to start, since it allows you to create up to 100 links with little effort.
- Promote Your blog with articles: Although Social Backlinks are a good start, you may want to back this up with some smart article marketing. Fortunately, Article Demon, referenced above as useful in spinning your articles, also includes a module for automatically submitting your spun articles to the major (and minor) article directories.
- Rinse and Repeat: Be realistic, you will probably not make much money for a while! In same cases it may take months and even years, specially if you choose a very competitive niche. But, if you do it the right way, you will eventually start to see some earnings, which will increase steadily as the time passes on.
It will likely take you a few hours to set up an autoblog (for the first few times). However, as you build more and more blogs, this time will decrease significantly. If you don’t have much time, plan on building one autoblog every day. After a month you will have 30 auto blogs. And, even if you earn $2 a day from each blog, that adds up to $60 a day. Don’t you think that’s worth 30 minutes a day? Of course, you don’t have to stop there, you can build more and more autoblogs. Test things out, try different affiliate products, try different monetization methods, try different niches and so on.
